My writings: Poetry: Why is the world so full of hate?

Why is the world so full of hate?
Why do we accept that the differences
in religion, skin color, sexual orientation
and gender are acceptable grounds
for how we treat one another?
Many people try to do their best,
but even there the hate is present.
Why is hate such an appealing feeling?

Is it that hate isn't the opposite of love,
because both imply engagement
but in different ways.

Love implies engagement and caring
about the others needs.
The givers feel joy in knowing
that their love was accepted.

But even hate implies engagement
and caring about someone,
but haters don't want to see
the others needs to be fulfilled,
they don't want to make them happy.
Their mind is filled with the others,
what they have and what they do,
they care about them.
They care and try to find ways
to reject them and build
an unbreakable wall between
them and the ones they hate.
The joy a hater feels is when they
feel superiority, control and when
they are detached from
the object they hate.

Hate isn't the opposite of love.
Indifference is
the opposite of hate of love.
