Intimate relations with poems
are magical,
because you steal
the author's heart
and make it your own,
even if
there isn't any heart
in the poem
to be stolen
even if
the words are harsh
and make you cry
even if
you don't understand it,
because words
once written
and published
don't belong
to the author anymore
they are the words
that the reader braids
with his own experiences
into a magical necklace
that lifts his life
beyond the mundane
and gives him
the treasures of life
