there's a struggle between
the wish to succeed and the wish to be
a struggle between a goal-oriented
and a process-oriented view of life
Often the goal-oriented part
doesn't understand
why the process-oriented
is doing things he shouldn't do
just strolling around
and doing nothing
enjoying life
but the process-oriented part
feels that the goal-oriented
is strangling him
with his goals
and at the same time screams
breathe, breathe, breathe
while the process-oriented faints
and loses the capability to create
Perhaps...
the best way to tackle this is acceptance
an acceptance that the bills have to be paid
that there are some things that are necessary
to do
to have
and to accept that they are necessary
but to always remember to breathe freely
because the free breath is the core of creativity
and life ...
